Intercape Bus Services has strived since 1979 to make a difference in people’s lives, not only by bringing loved ones together from all parts of South Africa and other African countries but also to take people to major events occurring all over the country. This year, just like last year, we will bring thousands of people to Cape Town for the annual prayer day called “It’s Time”, hosted by well-known evangelist Angus Buchan.

It’s Time will be held on 24 March and will especially be aimed at the dire drought situation that has been plaguing the Western Cape for the past few years. The average rainfall of the last five years has been the lowest since 1981, while some figures suggest that 2017 was the lowest rainfall year since 1933, and there are no signs that it is about to get better. Level-6 water restrictions have been implemented, and the whole region is in turmoil as to what the people in charge are doing to alleviate the situation. We at Intercape, with strong Christian values, believe that inhabitants should not focus on the people in charge, but the one in charge of everything: the Almighty God.

While we at Intercape welcome people from all walks of life, we make it no secret that we follow the Christian faith. Besides the drought affecting people in the Western Cape, as well as gangsterism that is rife in the Cape Flats, we are also concerned about the matters that affect all South Africans and all of humanity as a whole, such as violence, crime, drug abuse, prostitution, and the hopelessness, fear, and moral decline that these bring to the country. Intercape believes that these things are the result of people turning away from God, and like the name of the annual prayer day suggests, it’s time for a change; it’s time to return to the Almighty and beg for the salvation of all cultures, all religions, all sexes, and all the people affected by the things that destroy our society. As Buchan says, “I believe that the It’s Time Cape Town event will be a light that will shine, not just over the continent of Africa, but over the whole world.”

Like last year, when Intercape provided safe, reliable, and affordable travel to the extremely successful event in Bloemfontein, we will do so again, safely bringing people to the Mother City to pray to the Father. Once again we will avail our charters for groups wanting to attend the event. We leave on 23 March from Pretoria, Midrand, Johannesburg, Kroonvaal, Welkom, and Bloemfontein. Special rates are offered to people travelling from Pretoria. Once in Cape Town, the buses will take passengers to designated parking spots where people will follow the walk trails to the event, which will be held at the Swartklip Sports Field in Mitchells Plain from 10 am to 2 pm. Admission to the event is free of charge and the gates will open at 6 am. People are encouraged to bring their own food and water, as well as sunblock and chairs. Only toilet facilities will be provided, and no gazebos, beach umbrellas, and drones will be allowed.

Many people will attend the event, so the roads to Cape Town will be very busy. To avoid this frustration and danger, it is best to use Intercape buses, where you can sit back and relax in our comfortable seats and air-conditioned buses and even better when surrounded by fellow Christians.

To book a bus for your group, be sure to select the destination “It’s Time Event” rather than Cape Town. People have to send an email to [email protected] to charter a full bus. Everything else will be handled by Intercape’s friendly and professional staff.

You can make a positive difference to this country by joining thousands of like-minded people at this huge event. It will be more than just praying and holding hands; it will also create new friendships and will be an unforgettable event. You can also spend the last days of summer in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and relax on the beach before going back to work, rejuvenated by not only the beautiful scenery of Cape Town, but also by the Holy Spirit.
